在台灣彰化縣八卦山麓的深處，隱藏著一棟名為「聚德堂」的古老宅第。這棟三進式閩南建築的燕尾脊早已佈滿青苔，磚牆上褪色的交趾陶飾件殘破不堪，院中的老榕樹盤根錯節，樹幹上纏繞著褪色的紅布條，上面密密麻麻寫滿了符咒。村裡人說，這棟古厝已有兩百多年歷史，表面看是林家先祖發跡後修建的宅邸，實則藏著一個令人膽寒的血咒。​ 據當地耆老回憶，清朝嘉慶年間，林家先祖林朝棟靠著販賣鹿皮和樟腦發家。發跡後，他請來福建的風水師擇地建宅，風水師看中八卦山麓這塊「二龍搶珠」的寶地，卻也警告此地陰陽交匯，需定期舉行「血祭」方能鎮住陰氣。林朝棟聽從建議，每年農曆七月十四，都會在宅中地下室秘密進行活人祭祀，將抓來的流民獻祭給「地脈之靈」。​...
